The cool air temperatures we are experiencing at this time of year creates a great opportunity for exposing and observing all the "real/legitimate" warm features like eddies, fingers and warm inshore patches on the charts.
The cool air, in essence, temporarily eliminates the "phony/false" features leaving the "real" or more permanent features fully visible.
Surrounding inshore water has very rapidly cooled down leaving the real warm features exposed and very noticeable. During weeks of hot weather the "real" features blend into the warm inshore waters causing our charts to have very little distinction between inshore and offshore waters. Enjoy...
