CLOUDY USELESS CHART SETS vs. NO UPDATES ... the debate continues.

Several customers sent us some e-mails asking us as to why we were suddenly updating 100% cloudy areas and posting them up on the site because our policy has always been to skip 100% cloudy charts and just post the ones that are useable. It saves us time and money and therefore saves you from steeper membership fees.

Well... the answer is that is that the weather has been so incredibly awful that there has been many days and even weeks between updates of some areas to the point that some of our customers actually thought that our service was "down" and that we were failing to update areas. They did not realize that the weather was the cause. We were never "down" and no one missed anything... there was just nothing to see.

So.... what we will most likely do now is when the weather really gets bad (for several days in a row), as it is now, we may elect to post some completely cloudy useless chart sets. I suppose that you can call them "show sets" as they are just for show and almost completely useless. Apparently the psychological effect of seeing the same old chart posted for days on end led some members to the wrong conclusion and that is something that we do not want.

We have been... and are.... up and running at 100% and we have not missed anything in the past weeks or months sinc ewe began and therefore, neither have you. We are constantly reviewing all photos and we have the overall situation very well covered with the two sets that we usually post per day when its decent out.

Now... if we can just figure out how to control that weather.

Thank You
Fred
