Oceanview program upgrade notification

We will be upgrading our Oceanview chart plotting program after midnight tonight. (This latest version is named V6.0.0.74). The biggest change is the addition of full waypoint plotting ability with up to 15 waypoints available. Some other major new improvements are listed below. A full list of features is also at the bottom of this e-mail message.

NEW FEATURES:

1) Full chart plotting functions. Distance in NM, heading, temperature and total miles traveled plus much more.
2) Printable waypoint data window.
3) Choice of Lat/Lon readouts in "traditional nautical chart" Lat/Lon format OR newer Decimal (GPS) format
4) Program now will adjust temperature range automatically

4) Ability to place waypoints between multiple individual area charts.

5) Heading information now in degrees "MAGNETIC" (same as you compass reads), you still have the choice to use "true"





This is a free program that you should take really advantage of. The program was originally designed "way back when" to simply print charts out larger & better than they could be printed out from the website and we just kept adding features. Set-up is very easy and there is a full "help" menu incorporated in the program. The only work required is that you must go and download charts from our website to place into the program, from there... the program will automatically take care of the renaming and saving of the chart files for you. The "help" menu will also give step by step instructions for downloading charts.
